Black mood...

No, I'm not sad or depressed.

I've just been doing my first experiment with black chalkboard paint, and now I need to wait 24h for the paint to dry, then cook it and only then see the finally result. So, in the meanwhile, I felt like sharing some beautiful pictures about black.

Scandinavian style - lighting

Friday is Scandinavian style day. And today I'll show you some pictures of great lighting. Most of the designers are from Denmark (bare with me, I'm loving the country). I want to be able to give you a "taste" of some of the classics of the mid-century (the 20Th that is) and some of the new and contemporary design.

Allow me to start with the PH lamps
PH stands for Poul Henningsen, a Danish designer (well, architect actually) responsible for a big range of wonderful lamps that we can see in most Scandinavian homes in all interior magazines... or through most of the windows here in Denmark (shame on me...I know I shouldn't look...but in my defence: the lamps are so beautiful!)

Tina Hellberg and Petra Bindel

Outside is cold, grey and rainy... So a grey collection of pictures seemed appropriate.

It's also good to balance the overwhelming amount of colour my eyes have been subjected to during the Easter holidays. Like a detox of all the yellow, aquas, pastels, pantones and so on.

The styling is from Tina Hellberg and the photos were shot by Petra Bindel in a collaboration for Elle interior.

looking down #2

I found this piece of wood on the ground and thought it was absolutely gorgeous. It is now standing in my window sill as part of the decoration.
