Hello...Ho! Ho!
A photo from my Instagram with some of my DIY Christmas decorations.
- The Hello...Ho! Ho! print you can find below on this same post.
- For the hanging stars all you need is black cardboard, a white thick thread and a star shaped cookie cuter.
- The jar is actually a chocolate milk bottle covered with chalkboard paint (you can see the DIY here).
- And I placed some string lights inside a metal plant pot for an unexpected effect.
The decorations are all done, now I just need to do (a lot) of baking!

IKEA PS 2014 | creating a corner
Today I'm sharing the easy chair, designed by Ebba Strandmark for IKEA's 2014 PS collection. It's comforting to see that in a collection "designed for a young, urban crowd on the move" there is still hope for the idea of a phenomenological home and it's spaces of dream.
"Every corner in a house, every angle in a room, every inch of secluded space in which we like to hide, or withdraw into ourselves, is a symbol of solitude for the imagination; that is to say, it is the germ of a room, or of a house."
- BACHELARD, Gaston; The Poetics of Space -

Ylva Skarp - Calligraphy Love
I'm starting this week by sharing the work of the Swedish calligrapher and designer Ylva Skarp.
You may have seen some of her handwriting in several images before, but here are a few more.
The prints 'Curiosity' and 'Creativity' have been on my wish list for a while...it's one of those things that belong in my dream home... and today I fell in love with her words on ceramics as well.

Her writing just makes me feel happy!
Hope you like it.

Daily Dishonesty
I recently started following a blog on Tumblr called Daily Dishonesty, and I thought I should share it with you today. Lauren Hom, a graphic designer and illustrator based in New York City, gives us those little, harmless, lies (or dishonesties) that we tend to tell ourselves, and others, on a daily basis...and mostly about food.
I chose a few to show you, but you can follow the link for more. It's a fun read for a lazy Sunday!

Weekend Getaway
I'm about to leave for a short getaway and enjoy a couple of days away from the computer.
Wishing everyone a great and sunny weekend!
I'll be back Monday.

Sankt Oberholz
Today, during my morning routine of drinking coffee while going through Pinterest, I ended up discovering Sankt Oberholz. I'm glad I did.
Sankt Oberholz is a building from the late 19th century, located at the Rosenthaler Platz - Berlin, that comprises a restaurant, a co-working bureau, two apartments for rent and their own unconventional publisher. The whole site is worth exploring. I particularly love the "blog" tab (or the "lost and found" from the restaurant tab) where you can read about all sorts of objects that costumers from the restaurant forget or leave behind. These objects are described in the most funny way, through a whimsical talent for stating the obvious and coming to, sometimes, unexpected conclusions.
I leave you now with some photos from the apartments, where the historical features of the building meet contemporary design in a very sober (tempted to say masculine) way.
"Crystal clear lakes, palm-lined beaches, historical sights and landmarks – this is what you won’t find at Rosenthaler Platz."

Wishing everyone a great weekend... I'll go back to read some more of those "lost and founds"!

It's snowing again and outside the world looks grey.
Wishing you all a happy Easter, hopefully with better weather than what I'm having.

Therese Sennerholt - prints
One of the Danish interior design magazines I usually read often offers small prints from different artist or designers. I have three, hanging on my living room wall, and the last one I got was the "yes" by the Swedish designer Therese Sennerholt. I decided to explore more of her work and share some of the images from her web shop. I love all her black and white prints and the photos, done in collaboration with several stylists and photographers (I'm sorry but I don't know them all) are just wonderful!

Book Storage
"Our misunderstanding is conceptual in nature. You have created this attractive design for my house and library based on the supposition - one that is extremely widespread, unfortunately - that people, not objects, are the primary consideration in a residence (... ) But my conception of my future home is just the opposite. To wit: in the small constructed space that I will call my world and that will be ruled by my whims, we humans will be second-class citizens; books, pictures and engravings will have first priority."
Mario Vargas Llosa ,
The Notebooks of don Rigoberto
Instead of the "art book on coffee table"...
How about having all types of books, displayed in different ways, in several spaces of the home?
