Perfectly Peaceful

This was the view.
The baby was asleep.
The weather was nice and cool.
And I had my first glass of wine in almost 2 years... perfectly peaceful.

| Spring on the Wall |

I've been wanting to show you these pictures for over a month now. Unfortunately, for the last three weeks I haven't been able to use my right arm (I'm still not supposed to, but I'm cheating a little bit...shhh!) because I managed to get a shoulder bursitis. Normally this would be fairly easy to fix, but because I'm pregnant I can't get proper medication, and all I can do is not move my arm and wait. I'm writing this post (slowly) with my left hand only, but I still need to be careful to avoid getting carpal syndrome and then not being able to move any of my arms...sigh.

I tell you, I've been bored out of my mind!

Anyway, this was me having a bit of fun with some sweet little flowers - snow drops - that normally mark the ending (or the beginning of the end) of winter. I just stepped outside, picked up a few and decided to stick them upside down (with little bits of adhesive mass), on an empty photo frame, and hang it on the wall.

A little bit of freshness and Spring indoors. I Hope you like the idea.

Tine K's Summer cottage | scandinavian style

About two years ago I shared with you some beautiful photos of Tine Kjeldsen's home (from the danish company Tine K Home), and today I want to show you some images of her Summer cottage.

A typical Scandinavian summer house with a fresh and romantic style, white, grey and neutral tones prevailing, and a mixture of rustic and design pieces.

Looks cozy (hyggeligt) doesn't it?

Minimal Vase | design crush

Created by Ding3000 design studio for Discipline, the Minimal Vase consists of a wooden base (black or natural) and a steel structure which allows you to use your favourite glass or cup to add a touch of personality and create a different vase any time you wish.

I'm constantly changing little details in my home, so I really love the possibility of having a new vase, in a different style, just by simply changing the container.

What do you think?

Daniella Witte | styling Spring for IKEA

As I have mentioned before, I love the photography and styling of Daniella Witte, and follow her blog (which recently moved to here) religiously.

So thought you might like to see her Spring photos for Ikea's Livet Hemma blog.
If you follow the link you can find more photos, where not only you can get inspired by her beautiful photographs, but also find the identification of all IKEA's products that she used to style them.

I, myself, have been contemplating the idea of buying a small tree to have at home. Either a lemon or an olive tree... the fact that I tend to kill all of my plants (at an alarming speed!) is holding me back though.

VASE SELECTION | in the mood for Spring

With Spring almost here, I'm feeling the urge to bring inside some greeneries and flowers.
I especially like little vases where you can put a single flower or twig.
It looks beautiful in a minimalistic way, and demands a lot less maintenance.

Hope you like my small selection...

Tine K home | Spring 2014

I'm happy to put January behind me.
For the last 3 weeks, the Winter blues (don't like to call it depression) got the best out of me, but now the days are visibly getting longer, and even though it's still very cold - actually snowing right now - I'm going to start setting my mind into Spring mode.

And to begin with, here are some images from Danish company Tine K Home for the Spring/Summer of 2014. Loving the brightness...

Welcome February!

BROSTE COPENHAGEN | lookbook

I got myself a small eye infection and, though it doesn't seem to be anything serious, I'm giving it a rest and not putting on my contact lenses today. Which means that for a day the world is going to be one big foggy mess! I did manage to find my old glasses, which allowed me to make this post, but they are giving me headaches so this has to be a quick one...haha!

Just a sneak-peak of the SS2014 lookbook from Broste Copenhagen (which, by the way, has a new web-site), photographed by Line T. Klein and styled by Nathalie Schwer.

Summer Vacation

This last week I have had Emil at home every day and as a result I haven't been working on new posts. Instead we had a lovely time enjoying the fact that he started his vacation a week earlier than we were expecting. We even went to the park - and we normally don't 'do nature' - equipped with blankets, books and hot-dogs. It was sort of a forced early pause on the blog but one that was well worth it. In two days we'll be making our way to Portugal where we'll be visiting my family for 3 weeks. We can't wait... Emil has actually been doing a countdown since June!

So, Life as a Moodboard is officially on summer vacation now. And I'll see you again in mid September, when I come back to what will most likely be the beginning of a very cold autumn in Denmark, with renovated energies and full of inspiration for the new season.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Photo Mood . white . shadow . freshness

The heat is getting the best of me.
Can't get any proper work done, my brain is a melted mush and I'm in dire need of cool and shadowy places to hide and do nothing. Come back rain...you're forgiven!

Home Flowers Snapshots

Some white flowers for my white Scandinavian Kitchen.
And, for a change, the weather is lovely outside.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

PS: I normally keep my cooking herbs in that flower pot, thus the 'herbs' written with chalk.

Normann Food - 12 Summer recipes for you

This Summer, the entrance hall of Normann Copenhagen's flagship store will be transformed into a huge cook book. The concept is called Normann Food and it consists of 12 easy Summer recipes, illustrated by beautifully styled photographs, where both the ingredients and Normann's kitchen accessories are paramount. In addition to the colourful large-scale installations, there will be recipe cards (in Danish and English), available to anyone that visits the store or places an order on-line throughout July.

If you liked these examples, you can find more images and recipes, including the ones from Normann Food 2012, here

And I don't know about you, but those poppy seed pastries seem to be calling my name!

Faded Spring

Today we're having one of those late Spring rainy days, when the world seems enveloped in grey and all the colours are washed out. But the temperature is nice, and I was even outside for a bit, just feeling the rain drops on my face, while planing to share today's mood through this photos by Janne Peters.

Indoors Garden

I've been working on a Pinterest board called [ Indoors Garden ] and I'm loving the atmosphere it transmits. It's fresh and full of good ideas for having plants inside our homes.
Here are some of my latest pins.
Hope you like it!
