&Tradition for 2014

One of my favourite design companies is, without a doubt, the Danish &Tradition. Even If I'm not crazy about every single one of their products, I love their general image and their vision... and of course the styling of their catalogues.

In these new photos for the 2014 catalogue you can notice the tendency for the soft pink/nude tones in the whole atmosphere, the marble in their Fly Lounge Table top, and the copper in the new version of the classic Verner Pantone's flower pot. And, though it's not something new, I can't get tired of looking a the Fly Sofa (which has a special spot in my 'dream home' list).

What do you think? Is &Tradition a place where you can find inspiration for your own home?

a desaturated apartment | SCANDINAVIAN LIVING

This apartment in Copenhagen belongs to stylist Ingeborg Wolf and her boyfriend Claus Larsen, and it's a wonderful ode to grey and neutral tones without ever being boring. A careful mix of styles (industrial, mid-century, contemporary) and materials (wood, ceramics, iron) come together in a quiet and relaxing monochromatic harmony.

Sure, it may help a little bit that the photos are really desaturated... but I don't care, I love grey!

BROSTE COPENHAGEN | lookbook

I got myself a small eye infection and, though it doesn't seem to be anything serious, I'm giving it a rest and not putting on my contact lenses today. Which means that for a day the world is going to be one big foggy mess! I did manage to find my old glasses, which allowed me to make this post, but they are giving me headaches so this has to be a quick one...haha!

Just a sneak-peak of the SS2014 lookbook from Broste Copenhagen (which, by the way, has a new web-site), photographed by Line T. Klein and styled by Nathalie Schwer.

Food Inspiration | Sweet Paul Magazine #15

I'm in love with the whole menu from an article called 'the tasty embrace of winter cooking' from the last issue of Sweet Paul Magazine #15

With the huge storm that hit us yesterday (and it's still going on), these photos of wonderful comfort food are exactly what I was in the mood for. Just reading the recipes is making me look forward for an opportunity to try them.

Last year I made my New Year's Eve dinner inspired by Sweet Paul...
I think this year I'll do it again!

Gallery Wall Inspiration

I'm in love with this wall display at Daniella Witte's home.
Love how everything is arranged: the art, the neutral tones and how the hanging frames play with the black chair and the plant stand on the floor.
Can only 'drool' over her beautiful photos... and plan of making a gallery wall of my own in the future.

Winter Time

We changed to winter time last Sunday, and that means that I now have 4 months of depressing darkness ahead of me. It's 5 o'clock and already night! ...sigh...

It's time to do what Danish people do so well and come up with ways of transforming our homes into shrines of 'hygge' (cozyness). Chain lights and warm blankets are a way to start. Just like the bedroom below from Swedish photographer Daniella Witte.

industrial interiors | Ginger and Fig

Today I'm loving these photos of an eatery called Ginger and Fig.
What can I say? Industrial atmosphere and neutral tones in these, somehow, 'dramatic' photographies by James Strack.
Interior design by KA+AD in collaboration with studio 19.

Home Office | Nina Holst for Ferm Living

Nina Holst, from Stylizimo blog, Styled this home office for the Danish design brand Ferm Living.

I think you can find good ideas and inspiration here.
I particularly like the use of the clothes rack as a different way of having a wall board.

Visit her original post if you want to know more about her choices, as well as links to the products on Ferm Living's web shop page.

Bedroom Inspiration

Today I'm loving this bedroom as it feels quiet and peaceful...
A place where you can really retreat to and rest.

It also looks perfect both for men and women.
There's a certain austerity in the grey tones and the industrial inspired details. But there's also a softness in the irregular walls, the personal objects and the slightly untidy bed...

I'm having a serious case of bedroom jealousy right now!

LINKdeco - Interiors Photography and Styling

I love getting good news right at the beginning of a new day, while still holding my first cup of coffee. For all of us who love interiors, LINKdeco - an agency focused on Scandinavian Interior Photographers and Stylists - as been launched. And it is going to be a (the) place to visit frequently for the best and most inspiring Interior Photography, considering that they are representing amazing professionals such as Lotta Agatton, Petra Bindel, Idha Lindhag, Pia Ulin... and yes you have seen some of their work here at my Moodboard blog.

To show you an example of what you may find there I decided to share some photos styled by Emma Persson Lagerberg and photographed by Petra Bindel for Åhléns Magazine. With an Autumnal and cosy feeling, I love the combination of these warm greys and green tones.

Apartment in Sweden Styled By Lotta Agaton

Today I want to share this Swedish apartment, for sale at Folkhem. It was styled by Lotta Agaton in neutral tones with a predominance of grey and natural light wood. It may feel a bit raw, but I personally love it.

There are just so many good details to pay attention to! The way that contemporary design melds with vintage and industrial seems so effortless and natural. And the balance between rough and soft, geometrics and metallics against knitted pillows and the copper hangers with soft pastel clothes.

I could look at these photos all day and keep finding inspiration.

Photo Mood . white . shadow . freshness

The heat is getting the best of me.
Can't get any proper work done, my brain is a melted mush and I'm in dire need of cool and shadowy places to hide and do nothing. Come back rain...you're forgiven!
