Turn on the lights! | Styling for Autumn

It's true that during the Summer we get these wonderfully long days, here in Denmark, with lots of light from early morning until very late in the evening. But in the Autumn and Winter we get (suffer!) the exact opposite...

Now that the days are noticeably shorter I wanted to share with you this apartment from Fantastic Frank, beautifully styled to translate an Autumn Mood. The lights turned on on every room are necessary even during the day because it's very dark anyway, unless the sun decides to grace us with it's presence and that doesn't happen often.

The various lamps give the rooms a warm colour and cosy - hyggeligt - atmosphere, that is absolutely fundamental to survive the Winter blues (it's that and chocolates). I only wished they had also used some candles because that would give it an even more Scandinavian feeling.

For Rest | want!

I'm in love with the 'For Rest' print from One Must Dash.
It's a real rest for my eyes... and I just feel like getting lost in the fog in the middle of those trees.
This would definitely have a place on my wall.

&Tradition | &Autumn

I really love these photos from &Tradition.

The photos were taken on the new &Tradition showroom designed by Norm Architects, and feature their new releases for the Autumn of 2014- like the beautiful Marble Lights.

A gorgeous atmosphere of Nordic simplicity and minimalism.

Two | Fantastic | Spaces

Today I'm drawing inspiration from the Swedish real estate web site (or should I say institution by now?) Fantastic Frank...again!

Both spaces are uncluttered and bright, with gorgeous white floors...very Scandinavian like.

I can see myself spending hours on that reading corner, beautifully styled in black and white, surrounded by wall art and my favourite magazines.

And the kitchen looks amazing with those white subway tiles all the way to the ceiling.

A Grey Feeling | Nornäs by IKEA

The Summer has been rough on me this year (yes we're actually having a heat wave in Denmark!). So I wanted to share with you  these photos styled for IKEA's new bench - Nornäs.

I'm loving the range of grey tones and the whole fresh Autumn mood.

Beautifully Styled Apartment in Berlin

Another apartment beautifully styled for Fantastic Frank!
This time the stylist was the talented designer Sarah van Peteghem from Coco Lapine Design blog.

Clean lines and simple elements in a spacious and bright 'old canvas' give this apartment a cosy but light atmosphere. And the predominance of black, white and neutral tones makes it look very Scandinavian, even though it's located in Berlin (of course the use of so many Scandinavian design products also helps with that).

If you are curious about some of the furniture or other products used in the styling of this apartment (like the leather straps in the workspace, designed by Mathilda Clahr) go check out Sarah's post here.

Lotta Agaton's Home

Some amazing photos from Swedish interior stylist Lotta Agaton's home, taken by Petral Bindel for Åhlens Magazine

My favourite is the first one...how beautiful is that space,  so simply styled in black and white, tones of grey and light wood.

Daniella Witte | styling Spring for IKEA

As I have mentioned before, I love the photography and styling of Daniella Witte, and follow her blog (which recently moved to here) religiously.

So thought you might like to see her Spring photos for Ikea's Livet Hemma blog.
If you follow the link you can find more photos, where not only you can get inspired by her beautiful photographs, but also find the identification of all IKEA's products that she used to style them.

I, myself, have been contemplating the idea of buying a small tree to have at home. Either a lemon or an olive tree... the fact that I tend to kill all of my plants (at an alarming speed!) is holding me back though.

Daniella Witte's dining room | WEEK'S FAVOURITE

Interior stylist and photographer Daniella Witte's dining room is my week's favourite image.

I love the black shelves on the left, so graphic and structured compared to the fluidity and slight disarray of the rest of the room.
The brightness and the green plants remind me that spring is close.
And that sofa...so inviting! Perfect for snuggling while having my morning coffee and going through the interior design magazines.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

ORGANIZED INSPIRATION | Elle decoration's image gallery

Great News!
The Swedish Elle Decoration has created an Image Gallery on their website. The images are organized by categories, by room or a more specific theme, which great when searching for inspiration. Now, like a fellow blogger already noted, they just need to add an option of searching by colour to make it even better.

The site is written in Swedish, of course, but the Image Gallery is very simple, and with a bit of help from Google Translate, you can easily find your way around it. And, something that I appreciate immensely, below all images you can find the name of the photographer and a link to the on-line article. Got to appreciate the little things...
photography: Pia Ulin

As I was exploring the gallery for the first time, choosing the photos to illustrate this article, I found out I'm biased towards the work of photographer Pia Ulin. All my choices were from her, and I didn't know it before hand. They belong to two different homes but both stunning in their monochromatic tones and industrial details

What are you waiting for? Go get inspired...

perfect styling in 20 square meters | SCANDINAVIAN LIVING

Yes, this gorgeous images have infected the blogosphere like the "winter bug" (cough, cough, snif) has infected me. I still had to share them with you, here on my little corner because, lets face it, they are stunning. This 20 square meters apartment is the home of  Josefin Hååg, a talented interiors stylist and blogger. And the photos were taken for Residence Magazine by Kristofer Johnsson and styled by Lotta Agaton... yes, of course they had to be amazingly good.

That gallery wall is so beautiful...that bed...the room lighting... I could definitely live here!
