| Spring Feelings | Scandinavian Interiors

A very small but very sweet and feminine apartment, from Fantastic Frank.
The brightness of the white, the soft pastel tones and lots of plants spread around give it that extra touch of Spring Mood.

Children Room Inspiration | Welcome Madalena!

I'm so happy!
Yesterday, just a bit after midnight, I got two text messages on my phone saying that my new baby niece had "arrived". We weren't expecting her until next week, but the doctor thought it was safer to make the delivery earlier because she hadn't turn into the right position yet. Now I'm all excited and jittery, just waiting for the wonderful technology of smart phones and the internet to allow me to see this beautiful baby even though we have half a continent and part of an ocean between us.

So, for today's post, a girl's bedroom inspiration (Evie's bedroom) from the blog &SUUS (you can see the original posts here and here). I love the freshness of the white and soft pastels mixed with some beautiful vintage details (how adorable is that little mint green chair?).
Super cute!

BROSTE COPENHAGEN | lookbook

I got myself a small eye infection and, though it doesn't seem to be anything serious, I'm giving it a rest and not putting on my contact lenses today. Which means that for a day the world is going to be one big foggy mess! I did manage to find my old glasses, which allowed me to make this post, but they are giving me headaches so this has to be a quick one...haha!

Just a sneak-peak of the SS2014 lookbook from Broste Copenhagen (which, by the way, has a new web-site), photographed by Line T. Klein and styled by Nathalie Schwer.

Colour Inspiration | Nude

Lately I've been having a serious crush on  nude tones.
Maybe it's the nostalgic feeling of early Autumn...

'Writing Table' |by Roel Huisman|

Today I want to share this adorable desk by Amsterdam designer Roel Huisman.
For all it's simplicity, the desk includes a lamp, a vase and a hidden small storage compartment.
The pigments in the polyester resin gives the 'Writing Table' this green pastel tone, which adds a nice softness to it.

Elina Dahl | Illustration and Inspiration |

Like many other fellow bloggers, I spend a big (huge) amount of time on the internet, searching and researching, following link after link, always looking for new sources of inspiration to my next post. Sometimes that can be a frustrating and fruitless task. But every so often I come across with what I like to call a 'complete story'. That's what happened when I discovered the work of the Swedish illustrator Elina Dahl.

I started by exploring her illustrations and collages on her web site. Looking at the pastel tones and black accents, the touch of copper and the geometric patterns, was like looking at the Scandinavian homes I like to share on my blog, but this time on a poster. Captivated by her work I then moved on to her blog, where Elina shares bits of her personal life and her creations. There you can see how her illustrations are present in her home, and through her own styled photos you can understand her work's process and sources of inspiration. A complete story!

I'm sharing some of my favourite images here but visit her blog and web site for more.
Hope you like it!

Hally’s by Alexander Waterworth Interiors

After seeing some of these images circulating on Pinterest and Tumblr I decided to share with you Hally's, a recently opened deli in London, and a project by Alexander Waterworth interiors

An eclectic mix of decorative pieces, reclaimed materials and soft tones create an inviting and homely atmosphere. You can even get some DIY ideas for your own home, like the dip dyed chairs in different pastel shades, or the vintage looking jars for condiments with chalkboard painted labels. And who doesn't love those white washed brick walls with the carefully styled wooden open shelves? It's definitely a place to visit, next time I'm in London (I've already been on Google maps to see where it is located!).

Mia Blanche Ceramics

Even though Spring has officially started, here in Denmark we had a very cold and snowy week. But the days are longer, the sun actually shows up more often, and my mind is completely set on warmer days. So I decided to share some images with a "Springy" feeling while I dream of having brunch in the terrace (if the snow ever goes away).

Mia Blanche ceramics is a Sweedish atelier (and shop) launched in 2008. The products are designed and hand made by Mia Blanche and show different influences: from textile patterns (especially laces inherited from her grandmother) to oriental inspired themes; a mix of old and contemporary. I chose to share my favorites here but you can see more by clicking on the links above.
