Christmas Decorations | paper solids

This year, inspired by many wonderful images on Pinterest, I've been doing most of the Christmas decorations myself. I found on Minieco, the templates for several paper solids, with snowflake patterns or the little mountain with snow on top, and decided to give it a try.

I printed the templates on white cardboard, but also 'cleaned' some of the solids and printed them in colourful cardboards (...and by colourful I mean grey and a very faded pink). The 'x-mas pressie' is just a white cube with washi tape around it, to make it look like a wrapped present. I hanged some of them on a bunch of twigs and got myself a - like Emil likes to call it - little freakish Christmas tree. The rest I'm saving for the real Christmas tree, which I'll be getting today... hopefully!

It was very simple to make this, though a bit time consuming, but I really like the result.

December

December is here...

I'll be busy all day working on my Christmas decorations, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek.
I am trying to keep the Scandinavian look - simple, black and white - for which I've been gathering inspiration on my Christmas board on Pinterest. Now, all I need is the weather to be consistent with the style and cover everything with a white mantle of snow.

Notebooks and Rubber Stamps

I'm so excited! Today I'm going to vote in Denmark for the first time. I only found out I could already vote 4 days ago, when I saw my voting paper in my mail box. So in these last few days I had to pester Emil to explain to me all about the different political parties in Denmark and to translate their programs on their web sites. It was actually fun!

So today I just want to share some quick home shots of my new notebooks and rubber stamps.
I was experimenting with them having in mind some possibilities for x-mas decorations.
And no! ...I'm not too old to play with rubber stamps!

PS: I normally keep my cooking herbs in that flower pot, thus the 'herbs' written with chalk.

My Spring Colours

all photos by me

Bringing my garden's colours inside.
Spring took it's time to come and soon those beautiful white flowers will be replaced with red berries (poisonous, so I've heard), so I decided to capture these colours while I could.
Have a lazy Sunday everyone!

Goodbye Google Reader...

...Hello Bloglovin'

So, it seems like Google reader is retiring in a few months. I personally won't miss it because for a long time I've been using Bloglovin' to keep track of the dozens of blogs I follow.

You can follow Life as a Moodboard on Bloglovin', as well as any other blog of your choice! It's actually an amazing tool. It's easy to sign and easy to use (trust me, I can be very thick with internet things sometimes, and I never had any problems with Bloglovin'). And it also allows you to add a small symbol to your bookmarks bar that let's you know when you have new posts to read. I love it and I hope you'll love it too.

Give it a try and I hope to see you there!

Dry Little Roses

I've resigned myself with the fact that flowers don't survive at my home.
May as well take advantage of it and cheer up my window with these cute but dry little roses.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Giveaway Win!

During the Christmas holidays I decided to participate in a few wonderful "giveaways" that some of my favourite blogs were holding. I normally feel a bit shy about participating in these things or even just when leaving comments on other people's blogs (I know!... it's silly) but there were so many gorgeous things that I would love to have for my home that I just couldn't resist. And man!... Am I glad I didn't! I ended up winning two of them!
I'll talk about the second one later (when I receive it), but the first one was held by the Cherry Blossom blog, a blog that belongs to a girl from Norway, with flawless taste, and where I go to for a dose of daily Scandinavian inspiration.

And yesterday I received my prize in a beautiful package from Story North...

The tea towel is from by nord and the mugs are a design by Filippa K for Rörstrand.
Aren't they just perfect?
