TEA MUG | design crush

The Pell Mug by Nendo, for COS (Collection Of Style)...beautiful and practical.

I'm a bit of a "neat freak" (within reasonable limits, I think...) , so I obviously fell in love with the nice details for the spoon and for the tea bag!

nude tones | SNAPSHOTS

Lately, I've been very much into nude tones combined with greys, black and white.
And I noticed, that without really planning it, part of my kitchen has become a display of ceramics and ingredients in those same tones.
So I grabbed a few of those things and took some quick shots.

I'm thinking of framing one of them and have it in the kitchen now!

BROSTE COPENHAGEN | lookbook

I got myself a small eye infection and, though it doesn't seem to be anything serious, I'm giving it a rest and not putting on my contact lenses today. Which means that for a day the world is going to be one big foggy mess! I did manage to find my old glasses, which allowed me to make this post, but they are giving me headaches so this has to be a quick one...haha!

Just a sneak-peak of the SS2014 lookbook from Broste Copenhagen (which, by the way, has a new web-site), photographed by Line T. Klein and styled by Nathalie Schwer.

House Doctor | brightening up the kitchen |

For me, when it's winter time, one of the the best ways to remain cheerful is to go to the kitchen and bake... and try not to look out the window to find out how dark it is already.

So here's a bit of inspiration for the kitchen, from the Danish brand House Doctor's A/W 2013 catalogue.Neutral colours for ceramics, colour blocked and degrades, and some funky neon details...all to brighten up your kitchen!

Ylva Skarp - Calligraphy Love

I'm starting this week by sharing the work of the Swedish calligrapher and designer Ylva Skarp
You may have seen some of her handwriting in several images before, but here are a few more.
The prints 'Curiosity' and 'Creativity' have been on my wish list for a while...it's one of those things that belong in my dream home... and today I fell in love with her words on ceramics as well.

Her writing just makes me feel happy!
Hope you like it.

Tea Caddy Set by Afteroom

I spotted this product on Yatzer's Highlights of Stockholm Design Week 2013 and it caught my attention.

Designed by Chen-Yen Wei and Hung-Ming Chen, for their Stockholm based design studio Afteroom, the Tea Caddy Set includes beautifully designed ceramic storage and a bamboo spoon.
"...a truly sincere attitude of serving tea."

Mia Blanche Ceramics

Even though Spring has officially started, here in Denmark we had a very cold and snowy week. But the days are longer, the sun actually shows up more often, and my mind is completely set on warmer days. So I decided to share some images with a "Springy" feeling while I dream of having brunch in the terrace (if the snow ever goes away).

Mia Blanche ceramics is a Sweedish atelier (and shop) launched in 2008. The products are designed and hand made by Mia Blanche and show different influences: from textile patterns (especially laces inherited from her grandmother) to oriental inspired themes; a mix of old and contemporary. I chose to share my favorites here but you can see more by clicking on the links above.

Feinedinge Ceramics - "Alice"

I spotted these beautiful ceramics on this post by Radostina from 79 ideas and decided to find out a bit more about them and share my favourites.

They are from an Austrian atelier called Feinedinge and the collection I'm sharing is called Alice...soft pastel colours and feminine lines, with some touches of playfulness...kinda takes us back to the tea party of Alice in Wonderland.
